As mentioned you can travel also by night train in a sleeping wagon with 1-6 beds per cabin. If you want to travel alone it costs more – obviously – if you share with strangers, you’ll pay less. Tickets start from 39 EUR (multi) to 119 EUR (single), but the prices can also go up +100%, so book far in advance at NightJet.com.

If you buy your ticket +4 weeks in advance, you might even be able to travel quite cheaply (not during holiday season though).

My favourite are (of course, who’s not) personal sleeping cabins, sadly there is still a shared toilet 😉 🚽
